A Different Approach to Family Mediation

With over 25 years of experience as an attorney and a background in engineering, Erik brings together legal insight and practical, solutions-oriented thinking to his mediation work. His hands-on approach not only resolves immediate issues for the families he works with, but also helps build stronger, more cooperative relationships for the future.

Erik’s mediation approach focuses on empowering parents and families to work together more effectively, even when their different viewpoints have been a source of division and stress. Whether co-parenting, managing elder care, or addressing post-divorce dynamics, his goal is to help families find real-world solutions that work for everyone.

He helps his clients expand their perspectives to see the bigger picture so that they can better explore what’s possible—thus facilitating more positive outcomes.

An Expert in Neurodiverse Family Mediation

Erik’s deep expertise as a disability-informed professional mediator and certified co-parenting specialist—coupled with his personal experience as a parent of differently wired children—has made him a trusted resource for neurodiverse families nationwide.

His mediation approach is tailored to help parents of children with additional needs make critical decisions about their children’s medical, educational, and day-to-day needs, while fostering a cooperative, child-centered environment. He helps parents co-navigate complex situations, including:

Educational and therapeutic supports

Medical, financial, caregiving, and logistical decisions

Co-parenting disputes and dynamics of parenting across two homes

Independence-fostering plans for adult children with additional needs

His empathetic, solutions-focused approach allows families to move forward with less conflict and more confidence, so that that their children’s unique needs are at the heart of every decision.
